Yeah yeah yeah…
Yelnad doesn’t write for like two months, and days after her first entry she’s bagging on me. Well, fairs fair, and I have been lax, so I deserve the heat from any direction. What’s been going on? Well, lots. Mostly work, plus helping Chryss with her PCS, and working on this nifty project…
This, my friends, is my “Entertainment Center”…
Complete with a bit of surrealistic existentialism. So, I was unhappy with my Entertainment center, and my living room in general. It looked plain. The walls were all white, and the TV looked out of place. My pillar stand didn’t quite pop out the way I wanted it to. I had devised a more “Home Theater” appearance from the start, and finally I set about doing it.
While my parents were visiting, we picked out the fabric for the curtains. Then, Chryss bought her coveted sewing machine and we set to work. It took some time to figure out how to turn 12 yards of fabric into curtains, I had a vision, and Chryss has some mad skillz. After we mapped out a plan, we set about cutting the fabric and bending it to our will.
The end result is a home theater appearance that actual keeps the “Theater” feel in one’s home. Here it is.
So, there you have it. Nice crushed velvet, mimicking the old-style theater curtains of yore. Red on the outside, with a black background to swallow up the distractions around the movie screen. The wall has a splash of color, but I didn’t have to paint a thing, and best of all, I won’t get charged for repainting… Instead I’ll get charged for drilling holes in the wall to put up a curtain cord 
Best of all, the curtains and setup all cost less than 100 Euros… It is almost as economical as painting, but none of the headache! Also, I can make other curtains later, to match the season, my mood, or the fact that after a while these are sure to get filthy
